Bestest Baby Gift

I have been blessed with wonderful friends and family who have been thoughtful, generous, and creative in their baby gift giving. I can truly say that I know neither of my girls will ever go without anything they need..and likely anything they truely want. That being said, I have to admit I received the best gift in the mail yesterday. It was from my very good friend Tamara's mother, Susan.

Tamara and I have been friends since we were juniors in highschool. We attended the same college for the first two years (Angelo State University, in San Angelo, TX) and then briefly colleges in the same town of Denton, TX (me, University of North Texas and she Texas Women's University.) I had the honor of being her maid of honor and she was a bridesmaid at my wedding. She now lives in Washington state nd I'm here in South Carolina. We keep on eye on the coasts for each other.

During this time Susan has been a mom figure as well as a friend even though we do not stay in touch individually. Anyone with close friends can understand how after a time the friendship includes their parents as well.

In any case, getting to this most awesome gift. She sent me a scrapbook for both girls. But here is the great thing about it...she has already decorated the pages and made the wonderful personal touches in it so all I have to do is insert the appropriate pictures. This is so totally cool as I am creatively retarded. I tried to scrap book Jessica's first year ...to date I have her first three months! As well as the book itself, there is a lovely letter in front that describes in part her relationship with her sisters. I am leaving that letter in place for the girls.

It is just such an awsome gift that I had to share it.

Nuthin' Special

More happy makers:

Not only do I have a scheduled day for the operation, but they have megoing into the hospital about 24hours befor hand. This is a happy thought because then maybeI will have time to not stress about it and possible some good sleepy time meds so that i actually sleep through the night. And as terrible as it sounds,I think I might even be looking forward to the catheter just so i don't have toget my big roly poly butt out of the bed. Yeah, that's sort of miserable.

I have only gained between 15-17 pounds with this pregnancy. That's a great thingas I put on close to 60 pounds with Bug. There is actually a possibility that I might actually come out of this pregnancy smaller than when I started. Which of course the nurse at my doctor's office was kind enough to point out was still 60 -100 pounds over my "ideal" weight. Easy to say when one barely wears a size 4.

My child eats carrots and broccoli. She will sit down and eat a dinner of carrots and brocclie and lunch meat faster and more readily than a can of Chef Boyardee. Somewhere, some how I did something right.

Oh, and she tells her daddy he has a "pumpkin head", but mommy doesn't.

So the good out weighs the bad most days.

On With The Show

My Happiest thought made real : I am actually on the OR schedule for my C-Section for January 26.

I am so very happy to have real date. Now, if i go sooner than that, I'm totally okay with it. Also a happy a thing : grandpa and grandma are taking the Bug tonight to help take down the tree. That means a few more hours without all the noise.
