Piglet and the Pea
Well, Piglet is just 8 and half months old, but one couldn't guess it by her size and actions. She's wearing 12 month + clothes. She's standing and cruising around the tables and chairs. She delights in pulling herself up on anything and any one who will be still enough to let her. And now she is really making a good start on solid foods. I was impressed with the way she could gum a cracker or Nilla wafer into mush. Poor girl has no teeth yet. Not even nubbins. However, that doesn't stop her from putting anything into her mouth to test it as a food possibility. So tonight I thought I'd try her out on some peas and carrots. She did great! Well, let me qualify that a bit. She did a remarkable job of picking then up and putting them in her mouth. She actually picked up individual peas and got them to her mouth without mushing them. I am horrible impressed with the fine motor skills. But, then she tasted the vegetables. And being that she is my daughter, quickly lost interst in the whole expierment.
Oh well. We'll keep trying. But I don't know how you make any vegetable as good as fruit loops or frosted cheerios.
Put out a little bowl of ranch dressing with them for her to dip the veggies in - all my kids love them that way (me too). Your kids are adorable.

Too cute! I would say she is really doing well. The veggies don't surprise me though. She may be your pancake and dr. pepper child, just like her mom right!
